How the Votes are Scored 

Each vote was selected for its importance in supporting or opposing clean energy and global warming policies in the second session of the 110th Congress.  For each vote, a Representative or Senator had three possible actions including: support (represented by a check), opposition (represented by an 'x') or no recorded vote (represented by ‘no vote’).
